Busing Registration for Out of District Students

Statewide transportation has issued that current and new students must register for transportation for the new school year (2021-2022) by July 31st

Statewide Transportation has open enrollment and new transportation requests available throughout the entire school year. The July 31st dead line is only enforced if the student requires service on the first day of school.

The deadline for fall transportation requests is July 31, 2021. Request forms submitted on or after August 1, 2021, will receive the closest point of pick up or a depot stop location for a temporary bus stop.

For students who receive a temporary stop assignment, a permanent bus stop will be issued after September 17, 2021.

Registration and further information about the statewide transportation service is at http://ride.ri.gov/StudentsFamilies/AdditionalResources/StudentTransportation.aspx

Artist Exchange

Abraphine Ngafaih, Hillary Corporan, Alexis Sylvestre, and Dylana Deignan have all been working with Artist Exchange as Youth Interns on this year’s One Act Play Festival and we would love to share our work with the school! Attached is a quote from Megan Howe, the Theatre Manager as well as the Internship Director, explaining her views on the work we have put in. "Artists' Exchange is thrilled to have partnered with Pawtucket Public Schools to offer this Youth Theatre Internship. As the Theatre Manager, I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, maturity, as well as pure talent that each of these students have exhibited. Despite having to meet virtually, these students have shown true attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and great creativity in putting their one-act plays together.  Now that we've been able to see it altogether on stage, I know their performances are going to truly impress our audiences. I'm very proud of all their hard work."

Have a great week!

R.Pimentel, JMW Director

I am also excited to announce that all school aged students in Pawtucket (under 18) have been approved for FREE LUNCH until December 31st.  Nonetheless, it is important that each of our families apply for the free/reduced lunch.  Your application (whether or not you qualify) impacts our district funding, therefore, please take a few minutes to apply online at  www.myschoolapps.com.
